Kalamazoo Quilt Show

I went to the Kalamazoo quilt show last weekend, and thought I’d share some of the pictures with you.

I don’t know what it is about optical illusion quilts, but I’m fascinated by them.  Someday…
I like the use of color in this quilt

I really like this simple quilting pattern.

This one’s for Molly.  These are 3-D stars attached to this quilt.  They look like they were created by an embroidery machine.  But wouldn’t this be a good way to combine crocheted stars and quilting?

This one looked like a lot of work.  I like the border.

Butterflies for Cheryl…

This one was very heavily quilted.  The gold colors you see are all thread painted.

Am I showing my age with my love of this one?

Gotta go.  I’ll show more quilts later.  Hope you enjoyed the show.

  1. Very amazing quilts. So many talented people out there.

  2. Now I don't quilt, but I'd think the optical illusion quilts would be hard to create. The quilts are quite impressive.

  3. Thanks for showing us some of the quilts. I REALLY wanted to go to this show but just had too much other stuff going.

  4. More great quilts...have a nice day!

  5. I really would love to make your black and white quilt in squares creating a 'bulge' in the center. Is ir p[ossible to acquire the pattern form you? I am willing to purchase it, of course.
    My e-mail is:

    1. Hello, did you ever get a reply to the request for pattern on black & white 3D quilt? I would also like to try it .....

Thank you taking the time to leave a comment and visiting my blog. I enjoy reading your comments.
