Midland Quilt Show

I finally got a chance to download the quilt pics from the Midland quilt show I went to (a month ago?)  Oh well, there’s no time limit for looking at pretty quilts.

I love the colors in this quilt.

I thought this quilt created from a picture was interesting.

I love the colors in this quilt.  The sign said there was 5,237 pieces in this quilt that were individually cut and sewn together, and there are only 2 blocks in this quilt.  Whew, that’s a lot of work.

These were part of a children’s book challenge.  Such creativity!

This embellished quilt was very pretty.

The quilt show was held in a historical village.  The building next door was having a blacksmith show.  There were several old carriages and sleighs.  This sleigh “cutter” with the quilt cover caught my eye.

Another sleigh.

This ambulance sled from 1890 was fascinating.  I wonder what's inside that black trunk?

I like this fringed carriage.

It was a lovely quilt show in Midland.  Traveling to get to the show took us through many beautiful areas with gorgeous historical (and huge) homes.  Unfortunately, it was a bit rainy for us to get to see the Dow Gardens.  I've never been there, but I hear it is beautiful.  I hope to get back there soon.

Hope you enjoyed the show!
