I think it would also look fine without a border at all and just allow a very dark binding to serve as your stopping point. Well done!Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02999956275808214429noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-260764821317640122.post-58820606037048312012010-03-23T21:20:03.128-04:002010-03-23T21:20:03.128-04:00Great Job. The colors are great. A solid black border may work if it doesn't make the quilt too dark.DeAnna https://www.blogger.com/profile/13892158681613251860noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-260764821317640122.post-38695061234733438382010-03-22T08:44:30.032-04:002010-03-22T08:44:30.032-04:00I like it, especially the second version. It's really nice in the batiks and I love the purple with it.Shirleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15778110892578808447noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-260764821317640122.post-47170197703500080852010-03-21T23:22:04.123-04:002010-03-21T23:22:04.123-04:00I have no preference. What are you gonna do with it? If it's to snuggle, might want to add some more. If it's going to hang on the wall, then squares work great. I have a friend who perfers to do hers sq, I also know gals that make them longer up and down the bed and still others that go for long across the bed. This is a pretty top and if you choose to make it the center then I am sure you will figure out a nice way to get it the finished size you want.
Do you like to applique? Do you perfer pieced borders or plain width of fabric borders. It is all up to you. I personally like a mid to small quilt b/c they can be used to snuggle up under.
Bed size are nice too. be good cwCheryl Willishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11381571396901353377noreply@blogger.com
